These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website https://www.svabodha.com and all services offered by Maritime Trails Private Limited, trading as Svabodha Wellness ("Svabodha", "we", "us", "our"), including online courses, memberships, subscriptions, certifications, and in-person retreats and trainings (the "Services"). By creating an account, purchasing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNTS 1.1 You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase Services or create an account. Minors may participate only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. 1.2 You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. 1.3 We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
2. ONLINE COURSES, MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS 2.1 Access. On successful payment, you receive access to the purchased course, membership tier, or certification according to the description at the time of purchase. 2.2 Subscriptions (e.g., Shiva, Shiva-Shakti). Subscription plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the applicable fee each billing cycle until you cancel. 2.3 Access duration. Subscription content is available only while your subscription is active. When a subscription ends or is cancelled, access to subscription-only content ends. One-time certification purchases (such as the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training) grant the access duration stated for that product (e.g., lifetime access), independent of any subscription. 2.4 Cancellation of subscriptions. You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account ("My Subscriptions"). Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period except as required by law or our Cancellation & Refund Policy. 2.5 Price changes. We may change prices for future billing cycles or new purchases. We will give reasonable notice of changes affecting active subscriptions.
3. RETREATS & IN-PERSON TRAININGS 3.1 Bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A deposit or full payment may be required to secure a place. 3.2 Travel, visas, insurance, flights, and airport transfers (unless expressly included) are your responsibility. 3.3 Specific schedules, inclusions, and requirements are described on each program's page and communicated at booking.
4. PAYMENTS 4.1 Prices are displayed at checkout. You agree to pay all applicable fees and taxes. 4.2 Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Razorpay, Stripe, or PayPal). We do not store full payment card details. 4.3 You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
5. PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES, HEALTH & ASSUMPTION OF RISK 5.1 Yoga, meditation, breathwork, and related practices involve physical and mental exertion and carry inherent risks. You are responsible for your own health and well-being. 5.2 You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new physical or wellness practice, especially if you have any medical condition, injury, are pregnant, or have concerns. 5.3 You agree to practice within your own limits and to follow safety guidance. You participate voluntarily and assume the risks involved. 5.4 For in-person programs, you may be required to sign a separate liability waiver and health declaration.
6. NO MEDICAL ADVICE The Services are for educational and wellness purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the Services should be relied upon as medical advice.
7. CODE OF CONDUCT You agree to engage respectfully, honor the safety and dignity of teachers and fellow participants, and refrain from disruptive, harmful, discriminatory, or unlawful behavior. We may remove or suspend access for conduct that harms the community or violates these Terms, without refund where permitted by law.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 8.1 All course materials, videos, text, graphics, logos, and content are owned by or licensed to Svabodha and protected by intellectual property laws. 8.2 You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access purchased content for your own learning. You may not copy, record, download (except where expressly enabled), redistribute, resell, share login access, or publicly display the content without our written permission.
9. USER & COMMUNITY CONTENT If you post in community features, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content for operating the Services. You are responsible for what you post and must not post unlawful, infringing, or harmful material.
10. CHANGES TO PROGRAMS & SERVICES We may modify course content, schedules, teachers, or program details where reasonably necessary, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
11. DISCLAIMERS & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 11.1 The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. 11.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Svabodha and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in practices, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. INDEMNITY You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Svabodha and Maritime Trails Private Limited from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
13. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence, the courts of Goa, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes. Where local consumer law grants you additional non-waivable rights, those rights are unaffected.
15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective on posting, with the "Last Updated" date revised. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Welcome to Svabodha, where seekers of inner peace and spiritual growth come together to engage in sadhana, meditation, seva, and satsang. To fully immerse yourself in the ashram experience, we encourage you to embrace the following guidelines during your stay:
1. Adherence to Principles: Pilgrims are expected to uphold principles of truth, non-violence, self-discipline, and polite etiquette throughout their stay.
2. Participation in Rituals: Join us in the sacred Ganga Aarti ceremony at sunset, a beautiful tradition that fosters spiritual connection and community.
3. Dress Code: Respect local customs by wearing attire that covers shoulders, midriff, and calves. Yoga students are encouraged to wear white as a symbol of purity and balance. Avoid tight clothing and remove shoes before entering buildings or sacred spaces.
4. Respect for Accommodation: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in your room, ensuring it remains in the same condition as when assigned. Inform management if leaving temporarily, and vacate the room promptly if departing for an extended period.
5. Behavioral Guidelines: Refrain from inviting unauthorized guests, smoking, drinking intoxicants, using drugs, or engaging in activities such as playing cards, watching TV, or using radios. Pets are not permitted on the premises.
6. Financial Contributions: If making donations, request a receipt specifying the intended cause. Avoid giving direct monetary assistance to individuals and instead donate through the ashram office for proper distribution.
7. Silence Hours: Honor silence from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am to foster an environment conducive to introspection and meditation.
8. Satellite Phone Ban: As per government regulations, the use of satellite phones is prohibited. Foreign visitors are advised not to carry satellite phones during their time in India.

Welcome to Svabodha's Silent Retreat, where participants embark on a journey of inner reflection and self-discovery. To ensure a transformative experience for all, we kindly request that you adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Commitment to Transformation: Recognize that this retreat is not a casual event but a sacred opportunity for earnest seekers to explore inner transformation and release what no longer serves them.
2. Punctuality: Attend each session promptly and with mindfulness.
3. Avoidance of External Treatments: Refrain from undergoing any Ayurvedic or Panchakarma treatments during the retreat to maintain focus on internal reflection.
4. Exclusive Participation: Engage fully in Svabodha's Silent Retreat without attending other classes or events.
5. Behavioral Integrity: Maintain sincere and respectful behavior throughout your stay at the ashram.
6. Complete Attendance: Commit to participating in every session of the retreat without exception.

15. Immediate Departure if Required: In the event of a request to leave by the administration, vacate the premises promptly.
16. Financial Contributions: Avoid direct monetary assistance and instead donate through the ashram office for proper distribution.
17. Medical Considerations: Acknowledge that spiritual retreats are not substitutes for medical treatment or therapy. Ensure your safety and that of others if dealing with medical issues.
18. Consent for Recording: By attending, consent to having your image and voice recorded for potential use in publications, videos, websites, and social media.
