1. Adherence to Principles: Pilgrims are expected to uphold principles of truth, non-violence, self-discipline, and polite etiquette throughout their stay.
2. Participation in Rituals: Join us in the sacred Ganga Aarti ceremony at sunset, a beautiful tradition that fosters spiritual connection and community.
3. Dress Code: Respect local customs by wearing attire that covers shoulders, midriff, and calves. Yoga students are encouraged to wear white as a symbol of purity and balance. Avoid tight clothing and remove shoes before entering buildings or sacred spaces.
4. Respect for Accommodation: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in your room, ensuring it remains in the same condition as when assigned. Inform management if leaving temporarily, and vacate the room promptly if departing for an extended period.
5. Behavioral Guidelines: Refrain from inviting unauthorized guests, smoking, drinking intoxicants, using drugs, or engaging in activities such as playing cards, watching TV, or using radios. Pets are not permitted on the premises.
6. Financial Contributions: If making donations, request a receipt specifying the intended cause. Avoid giving direct monetary assistance to individuals and instead donate through the ashram office for proper distribution.
7. Silence Hours: Honor silence from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am to foster an environment conducive to introspection and meditation.
8. Satellite Phone Ban: As per government regulations, the use of satellite phones is prohibited. Foreign visitors are advised not to carry satellite phones during their time in India.
